Mr Avi Megido - CEO

Avi Megido took over as CEO of the Sonol Group in May 2024.

Megido has over two decades of experience in the energy and infrastructure industry. He joined Sonol in 2008, over the years he served as VP Business Clients and a member of senior management, and as of 2018 he held the position of Executive Vise President.

Sonol operates a chain of approximately 240 petrol stations and about 200 convenient stores all over the country, and about 2000 employees. 

In the past, he served as a board member in various companies, including: Israel Railways, Basic Oils Haifa, "Gaztiv" and Pi Glillot.

Between the years 2003-2007 he served as a professional advisor to the Ministers of National Infrastructures and to the General Director of the Ministry.

Megido holds a bachelor's degree in law (LL.B) and a bachelor's degree in business administration (B.A) with honors, from Reichman University (formerly the Herzliya Interdisciplinary Center), and a master's degree in law (LL.M) from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
